Dont bother saying she goes to Arapahoe High School, because I know. I go to Arapahoe too. Dont bother being mean either. If you happen to know, please tell me. If not, I dont need to hear it. Thanks! Hope this doesnt sound mean!
Answer: She went to Van Dellen Christian School, which is not far from the house she's lived in most of her life. They offer kindergarten to grade 8, but in the fifth grade she was home schooled. The same school system also offers a high school, but she chose Arapahoe instead.
I think she met some of her closer Arapahoe friends there.

How is Colorado skiing in late March/early April?
So Im at a new school this year and instead of having spring break in late February, its gonna be around late March or early April. I know some Colorado ski resorts close around mid-April, but i was wondering if the skiing in early April is still good at that time of year or is it getting more warm/slushy. Would it would be better if I went after Christmas? We might be going to Vail or Beaver Creek or Keystone.
Answer: That's absolutely the best time to come to Colorado. March is the snowiest month and April isn't too far behind. Stay away from low altitude places like Vail, or BC. You'll have the freeze thaw cycle going on - will be ice in the morning and slush in the PM. Go to Loveland, A-Basin, Winter Park. Two feet of fresh powder on Closing Day in mid-April is not uncommon at Winter Park. It was snowing hard at A-Basin through May this past season.
Here's A-Basin this past May. It was fun. http://www.associatedcontent.com/slideshow/52584/photos_arapahoe_basin_ski_area_on_may.html?cat=16
Prices will be cheaper then too on everything - tickets, hotel, food.
Crowds will be high at Christmas and any holiday. The snow can be sketchy at Xmas sometimes too. Spring Break in March can be crazy packed.
Been skiing since 1978. Been working in the Colorado ski industry since 2002. Avidly snowboarded/skied in Colorado since 1988.

How long does it take to become a funeral director?
I was just wondering because I want to do that after I graduate high school. Is there any schools that offer those kind of courses in SC? How many years would it take? What classes would I need to look into taking?
Answer: Hi, in answer to your question, there is only one school in your state that has a national board recognized program and that is Piedmont Technical in Greenwood. There are not very many schools in the country that offer mortuary science. Piedmont, along with most other schools, offers a two-year Associate's Degree program in mortuary science, which at the end of, you will be licensed to be a funeral director. You will also need to complete an apprenticeship for embalming if you choose that route. You will be in school for about 2 years and one summer. If you want to take this fall to get some pre-reqs, usually taking an english class, like english comp is good, also take anatomy and physiology (preferrably the 4 credit one), a computer applications class, and probably a business accounting class, if you can. those are pretty much staple requirements in any mortuary science program. Check with Piedmont's website and requirements though. If Piedmont isn't a possibility for you for any time constriction reasons, Arapahoe in Littleton, CO offers a completely online course for the same degree and is accredited. That is where I'm a student at, and I live in CA. You do have to work under a licensed funeral director/embalmer who will sign you off on your labs, I volunteer because there is no such thing as a paying job in CA right now (joke, but sadly not far from the truth). So if you have the time to volunteer, find a mortuary this summer and volunteer there. It will get you some good insight and also look good on your app to mortuary school! Good luck!

Should i go to regis jesuit high school?
Only one of my friends are going there the rest are going to smoky and grandveiw. My freinds are awsome what should i do?
Answer: Regis Jesuit High School is a Jesuit Catholic college preparatory high school located in Aurora, Colorado. Founded in 1877, the high school shares much of its history with its counterpart Regis University in neighboring Denver, Colorado.
Regis is the United States' only co-institutional Jesuit school (as opposed to a co-educational), meaning that the school is split into two gender divisions. The school is a member of the Jesuit Secondary Education Association. The school is operated independent of and with the blessing of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.
The school was founded by Italian Jesuits in 1877 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Another school was opened in Morrison, Colorado seven years later. In 1888, the two schools were merged and renamed for St. John Francis Regis to become Regis College, located on 52nd and Lowell Streets in Denver, Colorado. In 1921, the school was formally split into Regis High School and Regis University. The high school and University co-existed on the campus in Denver and shared facilities until a separate building was built on campus for the high school in 1984. In 1989, a parcel of land near Parker and Arapahoe Roads in Aurora was donated to the school. That area is now called the Campbell Campus, and it houses both the Girls and Boys Divisions.
Regis Jesuit High School practices a college-preparatory curriculum with a strong emphasis on the development of leadership, service, and religious faith. In past years more than 98% of graduates have been accepted at colleges and universities throughout the country. It is possible for Regis Jesuit students to take college credit courses at the high school and earn up to 36 semester hours of college credit from Regis University or through the Advanced Placement Program. There are more than 15 AP classes offered and honors sections exist in most departments. Incoming freshmen are eligible to place into advanced courses in math, foreign language, English and science.
Regis Jesuit has a daily-alternating block schedule. All students must be enrolled in seven courses each semester. There are no study halls in a students' schedule, but there are Office Hours in the morning which can be used to work on homework, talk with teachers, or host meetings for clubs.
Each year, students participate in various retreat programs run by the Pastoral Office. All freshmen attend Compass Days prior to their first day of class as well as Freshman retreat during the school year. 10th graders and 11th graders participate in Sophomore Retreat and the Kairos retreat, respectively. Seniors have a variety of options for retreats, including Silent Retreat, Martha and Mary Retreat (Girls Division), leading Kairos, and the traditional Senior Retreat.
Community service is an important component in a Regis student's education. There are differing levels of hourly service requirements depending on a student's grade level. Juniors and seniors are required to take part in a two week/sixty-hour service project wherein they work in various community organizations including Volunteers of America, Children's Hospital (Aurora, Colorado), as well as various elementary schools, soup kitchens, retirement facilities, and food banks.
Mission Statement...
"Regis Jesuit High School,
a Catholic educational community,
affirms the uniqueness and dignity of individuals,
inspires the pursuit of excellence,
and strives to develop a connection to the world
community."
The hallmark of Jesuit education is cura personalis, the care and concern for the individual. This educational community provides a student-centered environment in which each individual can develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Regis Jesuit aims to form a community of individuals who demand more of themselves and who strive to achieve excellence in all their endeavors by being Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving, and Committed to Doing Justice.
Regis Jesuit High School provides single-gender, co-institutional education by operating as two separate and distinct divisions, the Boys Division and the Girls Division. Each has its own principal, administrative team, faculty and staff. As such Regis Jesuit is able to provide its students with the best of both worlds—a structured single-gender academic environment during the school day with co-ed co-curricular and social opportunities outside of school hours.
Recent graduates have been accepted to many of the nation's top universities and colleges, among them University of Chicago, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Stanford University, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Where did author John Fante grow up in Boulder, CO?
I am wanting to find out what neighborhood he grew up in, and based his book "Wait until spring, bandini" on. The only reference I have come across so far is Arapahoe street. Where did he live, what catholic church did he go to?
Answer: North Denver, Sacred Heart, St Catherine's School, Regis High School,
There is an excellent book that answers all these questions:
"Full of Life: A Biography of John Fante" by Stephen Cooper
http://www.amazon.com/Full-Life-Biography-John-Fante/dp/1883318580/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222611199&sr=1-1
"Hailed by many as the great novel about L.A., Ask the Dust (Stackpole, 1939) was primed to place Fante--and his alter-ego Arturo Bandini--in the American literary world forever. Cooper, a film lecturer at California State University at Long Beach, beautifully details the hardscrabble life of this little-known American great who squandered his best writing for the riches of Hollywood. Born in 1909 to Italian immigrant parents and educated at Catholic schools in Denver, Colo., at 23 Fante left a fragmented family life for L.A., where he scraped together a living doing manual labor, shipwork and canning in order to write in the evenings. An admirer of H.L. Mencken, Fante began a one-sided correspondence with the famed editor and submitted all his work to the American Mercury, until in 1934 Mencken accepted "Altar Boy," the first of many short stories that Fante would publish. Soon Fante set to work on a novel and, with Mencken's help, he found employment as a Hollywood screenwriter to support himself. Cooper seamlessly pieces together every detail of Fante's life, from the amount he was paid for each script to the gambling debts he incurred. He also tenderly portrays Fante's tumultuous 46-year relationship with his wife, Joyce, and their four children. Joyce would take dictation for the ailing writer, who, before he died in 1983, lost his eyesight and both legs to the ravages of diabetes. Cooper's enthusiasm for Fante is matched only by that of the late Charles Bukowski, who proclaimed that Fante taught him how to write and in the early 1980s encouraged Black Sparrow Press to reissue his work. In the end, Cooper makes a convincing case for Fante's placement on the mantel of the greats. Photos. (Apr.) FYI: Fante's complete works are available through Black Sparrow Press."
