So as you know, Metallica and Lou Reed are collaborting to make an album. Personally, I think this album will make Load/Reload look like Master of Puppets, itll be so bad. So, I just wanted to know if they were going to make a real album maybe in 2012?
Answer: Well it's never going to be as good as the old days, but I'll still be buying it. I loved the Load / Reload era (fair enough, not to the degree of Justice, Kill and Master) and like you, I'm concerned that this next album will not be true to Metallica's roots and will be mediocre at best.
Lets hope they prove us wrong.

What is the subgenre of rock that glam and psychedelic fall under?
I have recently been splitting the Rock genre in my iTunes into multiple subgenres. I consider glam and psychedelic rock to be very similar and feel happy with them in the one category, but I dont know what to name it. The category currently includes David Bowie, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd and the Rocky Horror soundtrack, but I plan to expand it to include Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, and others.
Answer: Glam and psychedelia are their own genres. Rock is the category they fall under. They aren't the same just cause theyre similar. It's like funk and disco. They are similar, but they don't have a specific subgenre they both fall under side-by-side.

How can I take the glam rock look of the 70s and incorporate it in my wardrobe?
I am a girl, and I love the look of the 1970s glam-glitter rock. I am probably one of Bowies biggest fans, and he, in turn, is one of my biggest influences. Bolan, Lou Reed; they all rock.
Thing is, Im not sure how I can take their eccentric, electic style, and fit it into my wardrobe. Im a teenager with no job so exactly how I can fit glam rock into my style and not look like a complete fool has to be inexpensive.
Can anyone help me here?
Answer: Its easy. You can icorporate the 70s to your style by adapting a hairstyle popular then (and now) which is straigh hair parted in the middle. You can also shop at vintage stores (and even thrift stores) which are both innexpensive and have original pieces from the 70s. I am sure they have pieces very similar to what designer stores have displaying in their windows this very moment.

Im listening to a song with the killers ft. Lou Reed, and I remember listening to the velvet undergrounds album last year, but why exactly is he so talked about?
Answer: He was part of the Andy Warhol scene in the 60s, has collaborated with Bowie and Iggy Pop and was a very influential and important figure in the early glam rock scene. Also, he's a damn good musician.

Obviously they hadnt released a record since Death Magnetic. I was told on a lot of forums and such that they were in the studio with a new album under their belts. I also see a lot of them with Lou Reed on iTunes and YouTube. So, is that the album everybody was talking about, or are they making something else too?
Answer: Yeah, it's called "Lulu", and the album cover has sparked up some controversy because it features the torso and head of a dummy with "Lulu" written in blood over it. Not sure what's wrong with that, but it's been banned from advertising in many gigs in London.

It's a steaming pile of sh*t. I don't understand how someone with ears could listen to Lulu and think, "yeah this is good, let's release it."
I'm a Metallica fan, but I have to be honest and say that their output after 1988 has been mostly poor, with a few good tracks here and there.
If this is what Lou Reed calls music, I'm not interested in hearing any more of his music. Both Lou Reed and Metallica should be ashamed.

Where do the windswept and interesting shop for clothes?
Im talking about transparent pvc jackets like one I saw lou reed wearing, Im sick to death of seeing the same things with logos that mean fuck all, I once saw a relly nice jacket in mexico city in the gay district but thats all. Women get to have nice interesting clothes why cant I? Where can I shop for them? Ive tried shop after shop and have never found anything. Too many beige people as Billy Connelly says, where do the windswept and interesting shop?
Answer: Thats one of the drawbacks about retail,... chances are everyone has the same thing.
you could try looking in the clearance retailers for discontinued items. You can find some real gems where people least expect it. Places like Marshals, or even Sierra Trading Post Online,... Sometimes even going to Goodwill, because often retailers who have small batches of clearance or discontinued items will give them to charity retail instead of dumping them.
Some people will "unload" their clothes at Goodwill or the Salvation Army, before a move rather than taking it all with them. This is for new and hardly worn stuff, because rich folks rather go shopping for new when they move anyway. You never know what you'll find.
A lot of trendy wannabes only shop the high end retail stores in the malls, and only get frustrated.
Those who know, know enough to look where the mainstream don't usually shop.

Who had the better solo career?
I am a huge fan of the band the Velvet Underground, but I am not familiar with the solo projects of either Lou Reed or John Cale. I am familiar with the album "Transformer" by Lou Reed but nothing from John Cale. Is his solo work worth checking out? How about other Lou Reed albums? Which albums should I start with?
Answer: I think it would be worth checking out the album "Berlin" by Reed. It is a fairly acclaimed Album.
John Cale released 30 albums after Velvet Underground, Pretty obscure and sometimes punk-y and dark.
I read that onstage he chopped off a chicken's head and the band walked off in protest.
I've never really gotten into Reed or ever even heard any of Cale's work. But he has received the O.B.E. in England. so he must have done something deemed "worthy"
So, if you like Velvet underground and Lou Reed, chances are that Cale may be something you want to check out.
