I live really close to Anaheim California and usually I am able to go to Blizzcon ever year, however I am not able to make it to Blizzcon 2013 unfortunately. How much do you think it would cost to get to BlizzCon from Sacramento?

Heya, me and a friend of mine are both going to try to get to BlizzCon this year and we want to know the cheapest possible route we can take. We can depart from Sacremento and BlizzCon is in Anaheim. I did some rough estimates in my head and round trip including tickets, hotel stay, and food for both of us would run about $650...that just doesnt sound right to me. There has to be a cheaper route(We arnt made of money!)

Did you check Amtrak or Greyhound for tickets to Anaheim? There is bus service in the Anaheim area for transportation once you are there.
Anaheim has lots of cheap hotels/motels. The home of Disneyland.

Fast food is cheap. The grocery store is cheaper. Bring food from home in your backpack. Cheapest idea yet.

How many days are you going to stay? Hotel costs could eat up your budget fast. Look into the YMCA or a Youth hostel.

How much does it cost and how long does it take to make a World of Warcraft cosplay costume?

im just curious because Blizzcon listed some pretty creative costumes that looked really expensive...and hard to make if done by hand. I guess im not creative because I cant even begin to think where to start looking for materials!
im talking about the overdone costumes that look like the real thing, by the way =)

Answer: If you are going for seriously realistic or perfect as possible then it will most likely cost close to a fortune. It depends on who you want to go as also. An undead warrior would be one of the toughest as well as a dranei. Nightelf might not be so bad depending on if you're willing to go through the blue or purple skin paint. It's all a matter of who you want to be. One place to go to look for fully made costumes is eBay and a place to find out more on how to make the costume you want and ask questions is Cosplay.com.


There are plenty of veterans on there who can help you. I made my costume from scratch one year and I won't do it again! It's probably cheaper to just buy the costume if you can find it. The other big factor to consider is time. Making a costume can take from 2 weeks to several months so if you have plenty of time and patience (and money) then go for it! I don't want to be discouraging nor dishonest but if you can make a great costume then more power to you! :)

Will Blizzard Entertainment Announce Diablo 3 Release Date at Blizzcon 2011?

I know that Blizzcon is coming up this October. Do you think they will finally announce the release date? That would be the perfect time for it. Ive been waiting to play Diablo III for far too long now and if they dont say anything at Blizzcon Im going to be pissed.

Answer: Considering that public beta testing is scheduled for this (3rd) quarter of 2011:

On May 9, 2011 an announcement by Mike Morhaime was made that Diablo III is currently expected to be released for external beta testing in Q3 of 2011.

I would say the chances are very good that Blizzcon will indeed be the stage for this long awaited announcement. I have high hopes that they will try to include Xmas business and release it some time in early december (fingers crossed here).

Whats the best way to get from Long Beach Airport to the Anaheim Convention Center?

Im leaving tomorrow for Blizzcon, and I wanted to know what you thought was the easiest way to get from Long Beach, where we are landing, to the Convention Center in Anaheim. Ive thought of a cab and a shuttle, I just cant find any good shuttles with their schedules online. Thanks a lot!

Answer: As you can see, bus service will take you almost 3 hours. A shuttle will take about 30minutes.
Airport shuttles typically don't have "schedules" in California. You can pre-arrange your arrival with the shuttle company and you will leave for your destination right away. You might have a small wait if someone else is arriving around the same time with the same destination.

How would I get Invited To Blizzcon 2010?

I really want to go, even though I live far from California. I heard that Blizzcon was invite only, but it seems a bunch of average people are there. How do they get invites/tickets.

Yeah, this is probably in the wrong category, but oh well.

Answer: It's not invite only. You have to keep checking the Blizzard website. First they will announce when the tickets go on sale (this year tickets went on sale in may for convention in aug), and this year they had two ticket releases. You just need an account to purchase the tickets. And buy them as soon as they are released, this year was sold out in under a minute. Just hope you get into the queue and after that hope there are tickets still available when its your turn to buy. Maybe you should get some friends together each with their own account to get into the virtual queue. This year each person could purchase up to 5 tickets.

Why in World of Warcraft does the Alliance get so much hatred?

I have been playing World of Warcraft since the Burning Crusade era. I have played a Night Elf warrior, of the Alliance faction. That said, I watched BlizzCon 2011 from my home, and I noticed how much the Alliance got booed at the event. Now, I do not wish to have any "For The Horde!" or such answers, but why are the Alliance so hated, and the Horde so loved?

Answer: 1.Alliance are almost always associated with little kids and socially awkward adults.
2.People who would rather be seen as "good guys" are often looked down upon by the majority.

How can I get the Blizzcon 2013 virtual gifts without going to Blizzcon this year?

Im wondering how to get the virtual gifts (free hearthstone cards, in-game WoW pets, starcraft and diablo 3 goodies) if I do not go to blizzcon this year? I always go to blizzcon but this year I cant make it. Is there a way to watch blizzcon from home for free? Where can I find the blizzcon 2013 stream free ? I really want the free in game pets for WoW as well as the hearthstone cards.

Answer: After a quick search I found this page, that claims to get away free blizzcon virtual tickets for the 2013 blizzcon. In addition to being able to watch the live streams and the vods live from blizzcon, it also mentions that it will give you the special in-game gifts (free hearthstone cards + pets + avatars etc).
