How far is the closest Metrolink Station to Washington University?

Im planning to commute by Metrolink from Ofallon,IL to Washington University. I would like to know if it is convenient or not to do so. (Personal experience only please).
I dont live too far from the Metrolink station in Ofallon,IL. What Im worried about is the distance between the Metrolink station from Washington University.

Answer: There are five Metrolink stops near Washington University facilities.

From O'Fallon, these are your options:
1. Central West End stop - right across the street from the old McMillan hospital, this serves Washington University's medical school campus and Barnes-Jewish Hospital
2. Delmar Loop - This stop serves Washington University's Transportation department.

If you want to go to the Danforth or West Campuses, transfer at the Forest Park Station, the station at the Historical Museum, to the Shrewsbury Line. Shrewsbury trains do not go all the way east to O'Fallon, as far as I know.

3. Skinker Boulevard - this station serves the eastern half of WU's campus, including the engineering buildings, Brookings hall/administration, Physics, and Biology. It's also near the Publications building and Kayak's Coffee at 300 N. Skinker.

4. Big Bend - this stop serves the western half of campus, including the Village and Millbrook Apartment residential areas, the Athletic Complex, the Law School, and Political Science and Economics.

5. Forsyth - This stop serves the West Campus building (and Bally's total fitness), which includes some of the Development offices and the West Campus library.

For buildings in the center of campus, you can wait at the stop and hop onto the Campus Circulator shuttle, which will pick you up at the corner of skinker and forest park at the WU parking lot (it's a big lot, hard to miss) or will pick you up at the bus stop on Big Bend Blvd near the Village housing area. Both are free to WU students, faculty, employees, and contract employees.

What is the best place to live in the US, in terms of job and quality of life for your family?

I am looking at the best place to live for me and my family in the US. I work for one of the lagest IT companies and, in order to maintain my managerial role at such senior level, I understand I am short listed when it comes to where I should be living, from a careeer perspective. Better City to visit during the summer and why?

Im planning on visiting either Boston, Washington D.C. or Los Angeles during the summer. If you could choose which city to visit and why what city would you choose within the three choices. If you can list pros and cons to visiting the cities.

Answer: Nice places to visit in summer (sorry, but your list is limiting you. Visit LA in spring or fall, it is way too hot in the summer.):

1. Vancouver, BC, Canada. GREAT city. Lots of everything, and in 2010 that will include the Olympics. Mountains on one side and ocean coast on the other. A short ferry away is scenic and huge Vancouver Island. Lots of trees and incredibly pretty for a large metropolis. Best places to go: Commercial Drive, Gastown, Yaletown, Vancouver Island, lots and lots more. Just avoid the Downtown Eastside, it is where all the drugs are.
2. Chicago, IL, USA. I love Chicago. A tad expensive, but lots of great things to do. Hundreds of concerts and stuff, theatres, and Navy Pier is amazing at night and usually has shows.
3. I guess Boston. Or DC. Or Baltimore. Or all of them at once in a gigantic amazing New England Trip. There's an idea.

The computer does not care if it sends you walking through the ghetto late at night.

In fact, I can tell you what it will say: take the blue line and walk up Damen or take the pink or green line and walk down Ashland. Bad idea.

The best way to get there is to take the 'L' to downtown and then take the 19 United Center Express bus to the stadium. The bus makes limited stops along Madison Street in the Loop. See:

If you are coming in on the Blue line, get off at Washington. Walk one block south to Dearborn and Madison, then turn left and walk one block east on Madison to State and Madison. Wait for the bus on the Northeast corner.

If you are coming in on the Brown, Pink, Green, Purple Express, or Orange lines, get off at Madison/Wabash. Go downstairs and wait on the NE corner of Madison and Wabash.

The buses run every 10 minutes starting 90 minutes before the game.

If the United Center Express bus is not running, you can take the 20 Madison bus, but I would recommend waiting for the express bus.

So your options are either flying or renting a car. A one-way car rental will probably be somewhere around $800 for a compact. You'll also need to account for gas, food, and motel stays along the way. That could be another $350-400 And there may be an additional cleaning charge for pets.

A one-way flight from Seattle could be as low as $150, then probably another $150-200 for a pet. Then depending on how many boxes you have, bring them as checked baggage, or ship them via UPS/FedEx/USPS. Assuming they're not overweight/oversize, the first 2 checked bags will probably be cheaper than shipping.

HADLEY--John Michael, of Boulder, Colorado died on December 3, 2007 due to neurological degeneration. He was 80. Michael was born on September 23, 1927 to Leo George Hadley Jr. and Marsulite Nolker Hadley in St. Louis, Missouri. He also resided in Evanston, IL and Greenwich, CT. Michael married Gladys Pauline (Polly) Rolwing on October 16, 1954 at
