Have gun laws gotten more lax than they were say, Fifty years ago?

Is the problem More Guns? or more Whackadoodles? And would less guns stop the whackadoodles?

Answer: I think Technology has outstripped our Humanity. How convenient it is to use the Media or Television as a babysitter as the Family goes about it's business. Imagine the resentment simmering in a lot of these young men. I had one on YA Religion and Spirituality freak out on me 2 years ago because I was of the generation that went off to Woodstock and smoked drugs and ignored my inconvenient children and set them to use Sesame Street as parents, He was so bitter and I can actually imagine him doing something sick like a mass shooting.

Also these Video Games that are about war should be checked out by parents. I take surveys on them for money and one thing the violent ones and most are, ask you is if the game makes you feel powerful. I don't think it has anything to do with Politics as these young people could care less about something formed to have a value system with.

In most city schools there are metal detectors at the doors. It really is that simple of a solution you know.

Answer: if you have a local lacrosse box, you can go there and practice your shooting, or you can get a friend to help you with passing and catching the ball because then you would be better at catching the ball when it comes into your end, also you can get a friend to run at you and try to pass you while you your best to block them. try adding a small wager or bet to make it fun

What can I do to stop my lacrosse stick from thrwoing off the plastic?

I strung a stick for the first time and it keeps thrwoing off the plastic. It has a medium depth pocket, 3 shooting strings (2 straight across and 1 in a U). I used hard mesh. Any ideas how i can fix this?

Gun ranges, shooting ranges come in two types. One requries you to bring your own guns and have none for rent, the other will have guns for rent and you can shoot your own. Call ahead.

To handle a gun at a range - rent or holding a friends - requires no special license.

In Ok it lookes like you have some red tape to jump though to get a pistol permit. You can follow the links at opencarry.com for more info on your state.

Good Luck. Keep in mind - there are no 'stupid questions' when it comes to guns and gun safety. Many of the states in the past 10 years that have reduced the red tape to get a gun permit - have done it to accomodate women shooters. In states with restrictive gun laws - women are at higher risk for violence against them - in states with lax gun laws - they are not.

Any good ways to learn how to cradle better with my left hand in lax?

This is my first year playing lax and i can cradle fine with my right hand, but not so well with my left. Anyone have anything that will help me?

Answer: yeah man for sure. This was also my first year playing lacrosse. And i had to do the same thing. I did two things to help build cordination:
1) For a week i only played with my left hand. Passing, shooting on my goal, everything. After that week I returned to evenly playing with both hands and it improved my left.
2) I did normal things that i would do with my right hand, with my left hand. These things included brushing my teeth, holding my fork, trying to write every once in a while.
Eventually the cordination built very well in my left, and now i have no problem doing things with it.

What kind of mesh should i get for my lax stick?

This is my first year playing lacrosse and im pretty good but i have soft mesh right now and im getting my stick restrung soon and was wondering what type of mesh I should get. I Play midfield and i am really fast i usually just dodge and pass i dont do to much shooting. i know what hard mesh is but whats dura mesh and what other types of mesh are there? also is there a mesh that is somewhat between hard and soft mesh.

No offense, but why are cops in America so crappy at stopping terrorism compared to Canada and other countries?

Canada has had a number of terrorist plots, but all of them were stopped by Canadian cops and security services.

Compare that to America, where terrorists succeed on the regular - the Atlanta Olympics, Oklahoma City, September 11, the anthrax attacks, the DC sniper, Ft. These were all terrorist events that Americas multi-billion dollar, 200,000+ employee system of police and intelligence agencies failed to stop.

That doesn't include terrorists which Canada allows to leave the country and go fight outside Canada -- like Ressam (caught by Americans on his way to bomb LAX), the Kudars (who join jihadists overseas and then come to Canada for medical treatment and disability pensions), Medlej and friends (who are killed in Algeria), etc.

Can I bring a digital SLR camera to Radio City music Hall for the Peter Gabriel Concert?

Most rock concerts i have been to do not allow u to bring a DSLR. However they will let you bring a point and shoot. But this is a chamber orchestra playing at New York City Radio City music hall with Peter Gabriel singing on May 2nd. Would anyone know?

Answer: If your attempts to obtain permission fail, you have options. I don't want to steer you into high risk. Just consider this and proceed cautiously.

If your seat is inconspicuously located you could use the DSLR without any added disruption that a point and shoot would present. Be aware of the people around you and walking the isles. I have seen ushers using those laser pin lights to signal to people doing things they want to discourage.

Separate the body and lens so they are smaller and conceal them. They have become very lax with searches. It used to be nearly impossible to get a camera into some concerts like Pink Floyd. You do not see many photos from the 70's shows when they were known to have the most advanced stage equipment of the time.

At a chamber orchestra they will be very strict perhaps not allowing anyone to move to and from seats until breaks between numbers. I would not expect the visuals to be as compelling however with the absence of smoking. They will be very strict about cigarette and pot smoking. Even though Gabriel could have smoke machines providing atmosphere directly on stage the areas further out will not have sufficient fog for lasers and Vari-lites. I am just preparing you for a possibility. I recall waiting for Paul McCartney's show to begin as they pumped enormous amounts of fog into the arena from the stage, and they were tolerant of cigarette and pot smoking even though all smoking is illegal indoors here. We are fortunate that the fog used is safer and more affective than the early days.

I saw Peter Gabriel a few years ago and he is very strong as a performer. He has genuine charisma with a crowd. The sound and stage is the best. I don't think you could be disappointed.

I played back in 6th grade but havent since then. Now I want to try out for high school lax. What do I need to do to become an efficient attack player ? What to do to practice and how often should I hit the gym ?

Answer: get a good stick, maybe' a maverick wonderboy with a super power, that would be a good start. buy some decent pads (the price says it all). after you got all that, watch some videos on how to string a stick and learn to do it yourself. play a lot of wall ball by throwing against a wall. hit the gym about 3 or 4 times a week for a while until season. a great place to go buy anything you need is lacrossemonkey.com. oh and get a goal or something of the sort to shoot on since you want to play attack, and practice faking and dodging.

What will the best golfer in the world be like 100 years from now?

Will golfers be shooting in the 50s on average for a round of golf?

Answer: We're not allowed to like anyone other than Tiger? That sucks... I bet it'll be a foreign (non US) kid. They seem to let kids find their swings overseas, whereas most parents here think they can go to one of those golf factories and become the next Jack Nicklaus. They also don't seem to get too obsessed with stuff... just get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible.

I don't think scores will routinely be in the 50's, not unless the USGA goes VERY lax on their equipment rules (average driving distance on Tour has actually been trending down the last 5 years). Even then, they'd have to make 10,000+ yard courses to keep things level. If you believe the "Greenhouse" stuff (I'm on the fence, don't want to hear any opinions on it, just using it as an example) there's going to be a shortage of land- some courses, like St. Andrews and TPC Sawgrass, could be underwater! I bet things stay relatively the same. Some players may be able to be a tad long for a course, but they'd also have to be smart to break 60 on them... I just don't see it happening.

How can I become a commercial model?

Ive heard the requirements are much more lax for commercial models. Any ideas on how to find a legitimate agency to work with?

Answer: Maybe start with making photo shoots of you wearing nice clothes and making nice poses. Posting them on the internet (Facebook,Twitter,etc.) can be an idea too, but it can sometimes be dangerous. Also, strolling around California with looks to the 10's would be great. They will quickly notice you if you find a way to make yourself known.
