Who would you say is the most valuable played on the Blackhawks team this season?
Its more than obvious that the Chicago Blackhawks are rocking the world when it comes to the NHL. Although they are doing amazingly well, they also had a few drawbacks. Who would you consider to be the most valuable player on the team this season? I am talking about all around the most valuable player?
Answer: Most people would say Patrick Kane is the most valuable Blackhawk, but he's not. No doubt, his offensive ability is ridiculous, making him one of the biggest scoring threats in the league. However, the most valuable Blackhawk is Jonathan Toews. 29 points in 29 games is impressive on its own, but he plays in every situation. His team leading +18 and 3 game wining goals (one more than Patrick Kane) proves he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to give his team the win. Unbelievable player and unbelievable leader.

Answer: There IS a KissCam at Blackhawks games. From what I remember, it only shows up once throughout the entire game and that is during the 3rd period.

The last report I read was some time ago and I believe it said that half of the teams would be raising their ticket prices this season.
The Blackhawks (12-20%), the Caps (16%) and the Pens, moving into their new arena (10-12%) were the largest.
Four teams were actually slated to decrease their prices.......Stars, Jackets, Lightning and Sens (surprisingly).
Did you read this prior to them winning the cup because one would have to think that going to the Finals would have made them money!
Should include the Wings for your own interest-it seems they must be one of the team`s staying put.

It starts out with this great guitar melody. Every time the blackhawks are on NBC, the song is always played late in the 3rd period. The only lyrics I caught where something that went "its been a long time." Sorry, its hard to make out whats being played in the arena when its being drowned out by the announcers on tv.

Should the Chicago Blackhawks will make the playoffs?
Should the Chicago Blackhawks make the playoffs, yes or no and why or why not? I know that the Blackhawks are fighting for that last playoff spot, and that the fact they have had 2 seprate streak of losing games. So should they make the playoffs, or back thier bags when the season ends, and start planning thier offseason?
Answer: It would be nice, but I don't think so because pretty much every team in the West is still fighting for a playoff spot other than LA and even they can be a handful if you don't score enough on them. There's no weak teams to take advantage of points wise like there has been in years past and I don't see Chicago hanging on to Khabibulin, who they'd need to make it because I don't think Lalime can get it done.
Next year is more likely because all the young stars will have a year under their belt and a little bit of a playoff run experience, and with a better goaltender or at least a more consistent goaltender situation, they'll be fine.

So...Niemi, doesnt have the worst save %, he hasnt allowed the most goals, and he doesnt have the worst goals against average. So throw your 'WORST GOALIES' theory out. I am going to toss out your 'YOUNG, INEXPERIENCED, AND CLEARY INTIMIDATED' statement, because this team, minus Hossa beat the Canucks last season in this same round, pretty easily. They controlled the whole series.
With that said, it was one game. One game in a series where you have to win 4 to move on. If I remember right...not too long ago, Nashville also won game 1 and then lost the series and they have a great defence and good goaltending. The Canucks have a better goalie, who is hot right now but their blue line isnt as tough as the Preds. Chicago will find a way to score and they will make adjustments.
This series is will be fun to watch, but to say the Blackhawks fans should just give up, is rediculous. Lets face it, its not over, til its over and Montreal proved that being down 3-1 to the number 1 team all season, coming back and beating them.
Dont hate on the Hawks.

Its not shocking that the Blackhawks won the series or the fact that the Sharks failed to go further in the postseason, but i expected the Hawks to win in 6 not a sweep. I think its because everybody outside of Chicago hates the Blackhawks and wants them to lose so the Boston Victims can feel better about themselves after nearly being blown to bits by terrorists. And the fact that the Bruins players are steel armored super soldiers compared to the Blackhawks.

Both teams have gotten away with a lot, as per usual in the playoffs, not just the Bruins.
Hossa was out last game which was obviously detrimental for the Blackhawks, and Kane and Toews didn't really seem to show up.
Plus to be fair, Rask has really been exceptional lately, you can't blame the Blackhawks for that. It's not like Crawford has been especially bad or anything.
The Blackhawks are a great team with a lot of fantastic players but they're letting the Bruins defense get under their skin. It doesn't mean they were "doomed" from the start, it just means the Bruins have had the edge thus far. It's only 2-1, take it easy bud.
