How was the Witch of Endor able to conjure the spirit of Samuel?
From the Book of Samuel; at King Sauls request, the witch of Endor conjures the spirit of the dead prophet Samuel. The spirit correctly predicts the death of Saul the next day. This strange episode seems like the Bible supports the occult?
Answer: No, you are taking that part out of context. Saul is breaking his own laws by consulting the witch, so God delivers Saul over to his enemies. Saul knew he was breaking God's law but he gave into temptation and suffered for it.
The Bible does 'support' the occult in that it says witches, demons, and magic are real. However, they are a manifestation of evil forces. The only real force for good is God, at least according to the bible.

What do these mean: conjured out of nowhere; money shots and catnip for the camera?
Not only an impressive show of hardware conjured out of nowhere, but money shots, catnip for the camera
Answer: "conjured" or "came out of nowhere" means the item is new, a new idea, not based on anything previously done; an original work.
"Money shot" refers to either a man ejaculating in a porno film or an impressive, memorable piece of film/photo.
"Catnip for the camera" refers to something that the camera loves...a portriat, model, art piece...something extraordinarily beautiful, memorable...something people want to see, what they would want to buy/sell/be like/etc.

Do you have a memory fit to conjure up a patronus?
I dont have a powerful memory that is the happiest I can remember. I dont have any type of memory that could conjure up a patronus. This really depresses me. Is this the case for anyone else?
If I was a muggle I wouldnt even have knowledge of a patronus, alright?
Answer: I probably don't. I was thinking about it the other day which is kind of sad really. But you never know, maybe you do. Harry Potter went through many horrible things and he can cast off a very powerful patronus so maybe you can too!

How was the witch of Endor able to conjure Samuel?
Its in the Bible somewhere. It seems odd that a witch can conjure the spirit of a dead prophet.
Answer: I think it was that this familiar spirit was upon the witch, and was not masquerading as any person. The familiar spirit gave the witch the ability to see into a dimension of the dead, and she had a hallucination. She could see and hear the dead. So the witch did no conjuring of dead prophets. The witch had only controlled the familiar spirit. In a way, putting on dead-vision goggles.
The message from Samuel, the dead guy, was a follow up from what had happened while Samuel was alive. Saul was supposed to have killed all living things in a battle, but he left the animals alive, and that was a disobedience. Samuel was just giving the message of what was to be. Being dead, Samuel was beyond the limits of our world and could see what would happen. Samuel could also see that God was not with Saul at the time Saul sought him.
Saul fell on his face because he hadn't eaten. Perhaps it was low blood sugar? But there is a reference in the New Testament where Jesus says to be defended against and to exorcise a particular demon the disciples had to fast. It could be that Saul did not eat so he would not also be affected by this familiar spirit. Saul was scared because he discovered that he would no longer be the ruler.
There are people who would argue that this familiar spirit was playing sock puppets with the witch and with Saul. Except why would this spirit, which is claimed to be a liar, report the truth? Because what the dead Samuel did say through the door of this spirit to the witch and to Saul, did come true.

THE CONJURING - Movie Trailer, Photos, Synopsis
The Conjuring. Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story. In theaters July 19.
I saw a movie last night and succeeded in conjuring up belief that the plot was real. How about that?
If I can conjure up belief while watching a movie (albeit temporary), can I use this ability in my efforts to believe in Jesus?
But I have less than week to do it. Big rapture starts next Saturday.
Can I get a vote of confidence from you people here on yahoo answers? Thanks, and let me say this, you people have been great and it was nice doing answers with you...
.
Answer: Yeah good luck with that. You might be able to get through the multiple choice questions on God's 'Are you a Christian' test (hint: 'C' is the most common right answer), but you will still probably bomb the essay portion.
I would think any god that was worthy of the label would be able to weed out the believers of convenience, though that will probably weed out most of the Christians too, lol.

Is it possible to capture a demon that you have conjured up?
I use a Ouija board and have conjured up evil spirits and have once even convinced them to take physical form for a short while...
Are they susceptible at such a point... how could one capture it if it takes on physical form? Can you create a special room with scriptures from Jesus lining the wall and throw the demon in there so it couldnt escape?
Answer: no. more than likely, the demon captures you.
Ouija boards are very odd. Demons are only imaginary until an Ouija board becomes part of the equation. It has something to do with our hidden powers and how accidental access to them can screw us up in a way almost inconceivable.
I'm not kidding, girlie. You are WALKING the BLADE.

How Is It Possible for your Mind to Conjure up Vivid Places and People (dreams) with no past contact.?
I dream every night and remember most of them. Sorry to say many are enhancements of my failures and fears. I would not exactly call them nightmares, but most are stressful. What I cant figure out are the settings? Activities, concerns and dilemmas are natural, but ALL settings are in cities, buildings hotels, etc that I KNOW that I have had no past experience with. How is it possible for your mind to conjure all this up?
Answer: When you sleep, your mind conjures up images and makes your dreams. What makes it good or bad is your images and thoughts, if you are scared during a dream that something will happen, most likely it will happen. Your mind sometimes conjures up these weird sounds and images. Just remember, they are your dreams, dreams are like a game, influenced by the creator, but controlled by the controller.

How to conjure demons without sacrificing children?
I need to conjure a demon to avenge my fathers cousins dogs death but the only way I can figure to do it would be to sacrifice a child. Are there any other options?
Answer: Any form of blood magic implicitly involves demonology. Particularly useful in this case would be a blood pact written on the skin of the dog with a mixture of your blood and the dead dogs blood and buried beneath the house of the one who killed the dog.

Why do I dream about conjuring mechanical armor?
I am a Lucid Dreamer, and in many situations in my dreams when I am in danger, I somehow conjure a mechanical suit of armor from the surrounding environment. Cars, buildings, even the ground itself becomes an integral part of this protective armor, which takes a usually consistent form, a design created myself as an artist on paper. Sometimes it falls apart around me. What does it mean to wear armor in a dream?
